Aqua-Tite™ Green provides the only proven water repellent on the market that is PFAS Free. As everyone knows, when the pandemic hit in 2020, there was a rush on inventory. Lots of customers tried to get ahead of potential raw material shortages by purchasing all available goods. Marlen Textiles, who always prided itself on having a large amount of finished goods inventory, saw a significant drain.

Marlen Textiles’ legacy fabrics are PFAS-free. That includes Top Gun, Top Gun 9, Top Gun FR, Top Gun FR Lite, Odyssey, Odyssey Lite, Odyssey FR & Softouch. We’re proud to confirm that the fabrics above are PFAS-free, and have always been that way since their initial development. You can feel confident using any of these fabrics (even older inventory) because they have always been in compliance with any laws restricting the use of PFAS chemicals.

Marlen Textiles’ office, production plant and warehouse will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25. As a result, no orders will be entered, nor any incoming/outgoing shipments will take place. For the end of the year, the last day for plant production will be Thursday, December 22. Orders for shipment in 2022 will be accepted thru Friday, December 23. Any order received after Dec 23 will not be entered until Tuesday, Jan 3, 2023, with shipment to follow that. Both the office and warehouse will be closed on Monday, Dec 26. Incoming/outgoing shipments will take place Dec 27 thru Dec 29. There will be no shipments on Dec 30. The office, plant production and warehouse will be closed on Monday, Jan 2, 2023. Our normal schedule will resume Tuesday, Jan 3, 2023.

Marlen Textiles this month launched Top Notch FR®. This solution-dyed fabric is flame-retardant using a halogen-free flame retardant system, a first for the industrial fabric industry. TOP NOTCH FR® was specially created for applications needing flame resistance and unrivaled durability, tear, water and abrasion resistance. The fabric can be used for many outdoor applications such as commercial, residential and industrial awnings, tents, and canopies.

Boat Lift & Canopy have offered Top Gun material as a replacement for a few years and stand by the product in marine applications. "Top Gun is a great choice for your boat lift canopy. It's extremely durable, colorfast and has a weight of 11 oz per square yard - making it the toughest - yet lightest weight material we have available. Finally, it looks fantastic.” Boat Lift & Canopy manufactures replacement boat lift covers for all the top brands as well as custom covers in their Lakes Country facility in north-central Minnesota.

Marlen Textiles, manufacturers of outdoor textiles, has announced that they have reached agreements with Covin Sales of Huntington Park, CA and Sailrite of Columbia City, IN to be full line distributors of their products. Stock of most products in California (Covin) and Indiana (Sailrite) are available now, with the intention of all products and colors to be in their local warehouses soon.

Marlen Textiles, manufacturers of outdoor textiles, has announced an extension of its warranty period for five of its most popular products: Top Notch, Top Notch 9, Top Notch 1S, Top Notch FR and Top Gun FR. The warranty period will be extended from 5 to 8 years for Top Notch, Top Notch 9, Top Notch FR and Top Gun FR and from 3 to 5 years for Top Notch 1S.

Marlen Textiles coated fabrics like Top Gun are known and trusted in Boating applications, awning and tent use, and for covers of all sorts - but would you believe, drama on the high seas?!? The Caravan is a non-profit professional theater company, based on the World's Only Tall Ship Theatre. This majestic 30-meter traditional sailing ship plays host for touring, performing, and even serves as cast and crew residence. It's a bit like Cirque de Soleil meets a sailing ship, but they perform locally, wherever the ship can harbor, where visitors can assemble on the dock to watch performances.
