Spray Rating

In this procedure, the test fabric is placed at a specified distance below the water source. The same test fabric is mounted at a 45° angle to the incoming water. A pre-specified amount of water is poured into the funnel and directed to the fabric, hitting it at a 45° angle. As you can see, the fabric beads the water and allows the water to roll off. This corresponds to a high water repellency. The fabric is then visually inspected for wet spots and compared to a chart.
